This week BOXXER are joined by pro boxer Florian Marku and manager Sam Jones. Marku might just be the most famous athlete you’ve never heard of. His loyal Albanian fans support him every step of the way, starting long ago back in an illustrious and dominating mixed martial arts career. After years in kickboxing and mma, injuries led the albanian to focus on his hands and begin his climb through the ranks in the welterweight division.

No great fighter is complete without a fully supporting manager guiding them through every step of the way. The partnership between Florian Marku and Same Jones is no different. Marku is half the story on episode 2, his promotor Sam Jones also has lofty ambitions and is already punching above his weight by securing the likes of Joe Joyce and Savannah Marshall to his elite boutique of fighters. He’s now getting the publicity and respect he deserves but he’ll explain the challenge it’s been to get there and why young promoters should chase their dreams.
