BOXXER and WOW HYDRATE Announce Partnership Renewal

LONDON, UK (21 September 2022) – BOXXER is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with sports and wellness beverage producer WOW HYDRATE, which will continue as its Official Hydration Partner until at least 2023.

Boasting a number of high-profile ambassadors including professional footballers Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Maguire, WOW HYDRATE has established itself as an innovator in fitness hydration ever since its 2016 inception.

Under the partnership with BOXXER, WOW HYDRATE branding and products will appear prominently across all pre-promotional activity, including fight week press conferences and open workouts.

To highlight the importance of fighter (re)hydration, all BOXXER weigh-ins will be hosted in association with WOW HYDRATE and feature unique activations in terms of brand positioning and social/digital content.

This will lead up to extensive in-arena exposure on fight night, with 360-degree branding across the ring canvas, corners, and toblerones; and the venue’s screens, banners and boards.

All fighters on BOXXER cards will be supplied with WOW HYDRATE’s drinks on fight night, to help optimise performance and recovery, and BOXXER will also provide the brand with exclusive access to talent for content creation opportunities both pre-event and on show night.

Furthermore, the two companies will continue to build awareness amongst boxers both professional and amateur of the benefits of proper hydration, whilst also taking a combined focus on sustainability and developing grassroots sport.

Commenting on the renewal of the partnership, BOXXER CEO and founder Ben Shalom said: “It has been great working with WOW HYDRATE since our launch with Sky Sports last year, and we’re delighted to announce the extension of our partnership today. We both position ourselves as disruptors in our respective industries, and the quality of their products and emphasis on athletic performance make the brand a great fit for us and our elite athletes. We look forward to some memorable events together ahead and building out the collaboration further.”

Jon Hayman, Managing Director of WOW HYDRATE said: “We are delighted to have agreed an extension of the partnership with BOXXER and are excited to continue what has already proven to be a very successful relationship.

“BOXXER, through their Sky Sports shows, have been the perfect partner to maximise brand exposure while emphasising and demonstrating the health and performance benefits of WOW HYDRATE protein and electrolyte waters.”

BOXXER’s next show will take place on Saturday, October 15th at The O2 in London, as long-time rivals Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall fight for the undisputed world middleweight championship in the most-anticipated women’s fight of all time, and one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

The card – rescheduled from 10th September following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II – will be the first all-female bill to take place in the UK and the co-main event will see WBO and IBF world champion Mikaela Mayer and WBC champion Alycia Baumgardner face off in a unification bout in the 130-pound division.

Olympians Lauren Price, Karriss Artingstall and Caroline Dubois will also bolster a stacked night of boxing, with the action shown LIVE and exclusively on Sky Sports in the UK & Ireland.

WOW HYDRATE’s sugar-free protein and electrolyte waters deliver essential nutrients at the optimum strength, allowing people to rehydrate without ingesting carbohydrates or sugar, while obtaining key nutrients in an easy and convenient way.

WOW HYDRATE offers three key products in its range, for every kind of healthy lifestyle enthusiast: Electrolyte, Protein and Protein Pro. Last month the brand released the next generation of its product line boasting an all-new design, which will provide the drink formula pre-mixed to accelerate hydration and absorption of the benefits contained within.
