More Info

Ridings first started training in Mixed Martial Arts when he was just 8 years old. The original plan was to go into MMA, but that was before he took up boxing and fell in love with it. During his early days as a fighter, he acted as a sparring partner to professionals on the boxing circuit. A competitive spar against former European Middleweight Champion Conrad Cummings was the turning point for Ridings who then believed he was good enough to take it seriously and turn professional.

His first professional fight came in the back end of 2018 resulting in a points victory against Lewis van Poetsch. Two more wins followed against Zygimantas Butkevicius and Kevin McCauley and at 3-0, Ridings heads into Ultimate Boxxer unbeaten.

Away from the ring, Ridings has found it tough. He went through a dark phase two years ago having struggled from being a young Dad. He pays tribute to his coach Kieran Farrell who helped him come out of a dark place and he now believes he’s in great shape to cause an upset in this tournament.

Ridings will be an underdog coming into Ultimate Boxxer 7 but his youth and dedication could take him far.

Despite labouring for his Dad during the day, Ridings gets up at 5am every day to train and goes back in the gym in the evening so there is no questioning the work ethic of this young fighter.
