BOXXER Partners with Village Hotel Club Ahead of Newcastle Fight Night

LONDON, UK – [14 October 2021]

BOXXER is delighted to announce a new partnership with Village Hotel Club, which will become an Official Partner of BOXXER and Sky Sports Boxing’s blockbuster Fight Night in Newcastle on 16th October.

WBO middleweight champion Savannah Marshall headlines this Saturday’s stacked card at the Utilita Arena Newcastle, topping a fully-loaded undercard which features Chris Eubank Jr, Newcastle hero Lewis Ritson and a tantalising heavyweight clash between Hughie Fury and Christian Hammer.

Since its founding in 1995, Village Hotels has grown into a leading hotel brand with a portfolio of 32 properties in the UK and more on the way. Focused on providing an unparalleled lifestyle offering for hotel guests and local communities alike, Village Hotel Club offers everything under one roof. Guests can enjoy stylish bedrooms with modern technology, extensive leisure facilities including state of the art gym and pool and high-quality food and drink, alongside professional meeting rooms and coworking spaces.

The partnership, which was secured via sport-specialist agency Matchday, will see Village branding feature in 360-degree fashion across all pre-event promotional activity during fight week, including at Thursday’s press conference hosted at St James’ Park – the iconic home of Newcastle United FC – and at the public weigh-in on Friday, which will take place at the Metro Centre in Newcastle.

Village will then feature prominently across this Saturday’s Fight Night, airing LIVE and exclusively on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland. Village branding will appear on the ring canvas, ropes and toblerones; and across the arena’s screens, banners and boards.

Commenting on the partnership, BOXXER’s founder and CEO Ben Shalom said: “We’re delighted to announce this new partnership with Village Hotel Club, given their established presence in the UK and unwavering emphasis on customer experience. Seeing as we host events with fans and fighters around the country, we’re confident this partnership will cater strongly to Village’s own extensive national footprint.”

Gary Davis, Village Hotels CEO said: “We’re delighted to enter into this exciting partnership and be a part of what promises to be an incredible night. It’s such a great fit for us – sports are a huge part of our offering, with live sporting events available to watch on Sky Sports in the Pub and Grill every weekend at Village. On matchdays and during key sporting events such as this, there’s a great atmosphere in our venues with guests also benefiting from our exclusive ‘Red Card’ offers on food and drink.”
